One of the key areas that Metaphorically Speaking operates in, is euphemistically called “change”. I think what this really means is doing something different from what has gone on before. We both discovered that the only way to change anything be that a person, team or organisation the you have to change yourselves first. We found this out whilst attending the excellent PPD NLP practitioners course. (Kevin has since gone on to attain Master Practitioner status through PPD).
NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming is a system that uses practical tools to enhance communication. understanding and excellence in any walk of life be that business or personal. We have found using NLP to be life changing and inspirational.
We are keen to practice this to develop our own skills and help others to learn about and also practice NLP methods. Ideally we would travel to London to practice with our PPD friends but this is not easily achieved out here in rural Gloucestershire, so we are setting up a NLP Practice Group.
We will be holding our first session in the Elmbury Room (Below Tewkesbury Library) Sun Street Tewkesbury at 7pm on the 4th May 2011. If you want to learn a bit more about this increasingly popular methodology, or to practice any aspect of NLP you are more than welcome.
It would be appreciated if you could let us know if you are coming so we can properly prepare for the number of people attending - drop Dave a line at Dave@metaphoricallyspeaking.co.uk - and by the way there is no charge.
We look forward to seeing you on the 4th May for what will be a fun and enjoyable couple of hours.
